Mantelpieces

Down to earth today: doing laundry, catching up with last night's Strictly, doing yesterday's crossword and baking shortbread, the latter to take to friends, Anne and Drummond, this evening.

This is a section of the mantelpiece in their lounge. The clay figure is one of Drum's less offensive works of art. At the age of 89 he is still painting every day, but I think he's given up on the sculpting.
