Viewpoint view

While in the village on our afternoon walk Minty and I made a slight detour up to the viewpoint to check out the autumn colours.

Just as I let Minty off the lead up the hill, he spotted a deer in the field and took off like lightning after it, ignoring my shout of 'No!!!' He either had second thoughts of disobeying - hmmm! - or realised he had no hope of catching up with the deer, so gave up after a few seconds, returning instead to me for some praise and a treat. Good boy, Minty!

I think I've probably missed the best of the autumn colours, but still, the view's not bad. You can just glimpse a couple of islands in Loch Lomond in the mist on the left.
