Creeping Ice

Dear Diary,

I stopped by the pond to see how the ice is progressing.  It is slowly creeping its way across from the shaded, shallow edges.  The winter transformation is underway.  I have always enjoyed photographing this little pond and watching how it changes over the seasons.  It is never the same even from day to day.

We are in for another snowstorm tomorrow so I will go out to get things I need for my contribution to Thanksgiving dinner at a friends house.  Well, actually, it will be at the Stone Mountain Arts Center, owned by a friend of mine and it will be a lovely place to celebrate the day.  It will be a frigid day too, highs only in the teens.  It will feel more like Christmas that Thanksgiving!
