A New Day

Lupins

Not a lot of colour in the garden now, but these pretty lupins are sheltered and still looking good.  They remind me of our lovely holiday in New Zealand at this time last year, when the lupins there were in full bloom.

A good session at U3A Photography this morning where the subject was Abstract.  It was fascinating to see how other people interpreted it and there was some great shots for discussion.  For the next session, the subject is Antiques and loads of people had the same thought - selfies!!

Rushed home to wait in for the house alarm engineer who was coming between 1 and 5 pm.  Of course, he turned up at 4.15 pm, but at least he did turn up:-)

The ballet yesterday in the Caird Hall was wonderful, at least the bits we saw of it!  We had the misfortune to have two of the tallest, broadest people in Dundee sit right in front of us and more tall people in front of them, so it was a game of bobbing and weaving to get a glimpse of the action on stage.  TJ gave up in the end and just closed his eyes and enjoyed the music!

Fortunately, we were able to move seats at the interval to the back row of the raised stalls and what a fantastic view we had there.  Okay, so I won't recognise any of the dancers if I see them again, but I could easily see the fabulous steps, leaps, pirouettes etc and the costumes were exquisite.  Wish we could have moved sooner:-)
