Capturing my Journey

After a successful gather of the tupping ewes and their tip out of the field they were in. It's their first time in this field therefore first time being gathered out, means they don't always remember where the gate is and this gate is not usefully in a corner but in the middle of a straight line of fence and won't even open in the way to give them an indication of direction. Dogs did great and sheep remembered thankfully. As you can see Rusty is out helping. Poor Bud has taken a chunk out of his pad a few days ago so he's on rest until it's healed. Having a wee run of lameness and illnesses with the dogs at the moment. Nothing major but enough to mean changes in routines and walks to accommodate them. Anyway we brought the sheep into the handling system as it was the day to change the crayon colour on the tups harness. He's done well so far with nearly half the ewes with green bums. Extra

After sorting the sheep in the heavy cold rain showers it was definitely an inside day. We have finally hung the big mirror and the rest of the pictures in the sitting room. And with the new rug that arrived yesterday it looks a bit more together in there now. Still needs decorated but I'm not sure when we will get round to that. I also sorted the spare bedroom and the box store room again. They had become dumping grounds.
