Long ............

  ............. perspective.

After negotiating the horribleness that is the London Stansted airport's departure/arrival area (London? Ha!  It's around 50 miles/an hour and a half's drive or about an hour and a half train journey to central London) - and then the circuitous way through the glitzy/brash shopping area with its narrow walkway and wiggly-woggly route only to be faced with a big seating area that is almost always full to overflowing with people staring mindlessly at their phones, their suitcases all over the place and some sleeping taking up three or more chairs so no seats left - it is lovely to get on the little train that takes you to gates 1-19 and then 20-39 and some peace and quiet.  (can you tell I'm not a fan of Stansted airport???  Oh and the parking charges are extortionate!)

My photo was taken at around 06.30 in the corridor leading to gates 1-7.    Obviously it does get busier later in the day but it's like a little oasis of quiet and calm this early in the morning.

It's good to be home!
