From the top of Penshaw Monument.

This is a well blipped monument in Tyne and Wear just outside of Sunderland. It can be seen for miles.
The monument is a folly built in the 1840's to commemorate the First Earl of Durham. It is a half scale replica of an ancient Greek temple and is perched on top of Penshaw Hill, making it a prominent local landmark (thank-you wikipedia!).
The National Trust own it now and on some weekends and light evenings you can climb a spiral staircase inside one of the legs and walk around the top, to get the best view for hundreds of miles.
