Exploring

Today Miss Maddie had a day off school, report writing day for the teachers. I counted up the days left at our school 8 in total, then it will no longer be!!!! Feeling a bit sad.
I have loved it here as has Maddi, wonderful, caring teachers, who knew every student by name including their parents, it will leave a big hole to fill in our hearts..... Maddi seems ok for now, talking about her new school, it has bought closer her best friend and her, almost entwining their little lives, as they talk about what it will be like at their new school, and going uniform shopping together.

Next week they have a transition day, where they will meet the teacher for next year and the kids in the class. This may be the reality check for maddi, as I think at the moment it seems surreal. As she is sumerged in the current schools activities.

Tonight is the night we hear the proposal for what the school will become for next year, I have mixed feelings, happy....sad......confused.....angry!!!! If only they had moved faster, maybe things would of been different most will leave!!! and of those who will stay are they taking a big risk.... new school again in the hands of someone who I know little about. I guess that is what tonight is about. I know there are a lot of hurt and angry parents and the meeting will I think be heated. We must go if only to close off a chapter and start to move on....or to start a new beginning at a new school, whatever one that is.

It has stared to cool down now, still muggy by the smell of rain is in the air. We went exploring today, and felt the first few drops of refreshing rain.
