Big Macbeth

Interesting day thus far at Birnam Book Festival (with more to come) starting with Poets Brunch (bacon rolls and poets = good way to start day ) followed by words at work, a living folk legend, forensic science in real & imagined cases and ending with a discussion on drugs, their impact and approaches to addressing addiction. For all the topics are diverse there are common themes running through them including importance of listening, empathy and the power of allowing people the space to tell their stories in their own words.

A concert to follow this evening and more tomorrow.

Title of blip comes from opening remarks an compete telling of a writing exercise whereby participants were asked to weave Shakespeare plays into food items and Big Macbeth given as an example. So far I have come up with Cheese and Hamlet Toastie :-).

Have also made connections between people whose paths have crossed mine previously or that of someone else whose path I have also crossed.

Glad we went for weekend ticket & immersive experience rather than dipping in and out.
