Saltmarsh Coast Seapies

A beautifully bracing walk on the Bradwell Cockle Shell Beach which we had to ourselves. The wind was onshore and the tide was high. Ollie dog loved retrieving the cuttlefish bone that I threw for her but wouldn't paddle with me, she's scared of the waves.

We chatted with some birders at the observatory and I looked at the waders through one of their 'scopes. Oystercatchers, grey plovers, knot, and dunlin squashed onto the bit of beach which remained at high tide.

The oystercatchers, or seapies as I know them, were too far away for a decent shot but I've blipped them anyway. :)
