Gàidhlig Fhìobha

A wee event tonight to present certificates to those of us who have completed Gaelic courses (in Fife/Fhìobha) this year.

I discovered they have over 60 adult Gaelic learners spread over 7 classes each week. 10 primary schools are giving 500 children each week a 40 minute class. The tutors and administration are struggling to keep pace with demand.

It's Gaelic Awareness Week at Parliament (ours, not theirs, obviously) and if my diary could stretch that far I could attend a coffee/cofaidh and cake/cèic "social" on Wednesday afternoon followed by a schools debate in the evening. Sadly, other plans have to take priority. Next year.
