My topsy-turvy life

Tubular Dude

Unsurprisingly his -oh so delicate- cannula didn't last the night so they decided to get him in for surgery first thing this morning.

His oesophagus stretched up more easily again this time (hopefully a good sign) and the feeding tube went down no problem. So we go back to combination feeding for a while to take some pressure off his breathing. It also means that even if we get a tightening before the next appointment it's manageable and so shouldn't need another emergency admission.

As usual he came round from the anaesthetic really quickly and was pulling faces and smiling as we got back to the ward.
