a lifetime burning

Wet, wetter, wettest

Tiny Tuesday: Wet, wetter, wettest

I took a walk at lunchtime - partly to get out of the office and partly to get some fresh air.  It was definitely bracing in the wind and the rain that was buffeting Bristol's streets.

With global warming, the latest research led by the UK's Met Office tells us that, our winters will gradually get warmer and wetter.  So perhaps today's persistent rainfall is going to be the norm for Winters to come.  This Winter flowering Hellebore was bowed over by the wind and the rain as if trying to shelter the inside of the flower from the worst of the weather and yet even so there were rain drops under the protective outer petals.
