Cook

On this photography workshop in Kolkata the course leader, Mark Seymour, is definitely pushing me beyond my comfort zone - which is what I hoped.  I am working with just a 35mm prime lens, so close portraits mean getting really close to people - something I would not normally do with strangers.  Mark also encourages us to go into places - like this kitchen at the back of a restaurant/cafe - and simply talk to the occupants and then take their photographs. To be fair, I wasn't the first of the group who approached this cook, but it was still a little uncomfortable for me but, as I'm discovering, most people here really don't mind.
