Squirrel and Apple

This afternoon I was out in the yard washing the screens that I had just removed from the house windows.

I noticed a squirrel sort of flattened out on the top of our fence. Usually the squirrels run away when I'm in the yard.

On investigation I found a partially eaten apple sitting on top of the fence behind a shrub. I realized that I had interrupted the squirrel's lunch.

The squirrel was not about to lose his prize. He was doing his best to imitate a lump on the top of the fence hoping I'd leave the yard.
