Wild Wednesday ....

... and Wide Angle Wednesday.

I ran out to do some Christmas shopping today and as I passed Green Pond I could that some snow geese were in the nearby field.  I stopped on the side of the road in order to take some pictures and then circled back around to the field from Saturday. 

There weren't any geese in this field but I did spot this "drowning" bench.  As I processed this picture for Wild Wednesday I looked up the theme for Wide Angle Wednesday.  Much to my surprise and delight the theme is "water scene" .... how perfect!

We have had so much rain the past few weeks that the small pond in front of this bench has overflowed its banks!  The water even spills out on to the roadway!
