Getting an education

We made an early start this morning to visit the flower market here in Kolkata.  It was exceedingly busy and I found it quite challenging to photograph - but I have found most of this week to be challenging, which is actually good:  hopefully it means I'm learning something.

After the flower market we went to the book market which consists of lots of tiny shops (or booths) in a long line across several streets.  Every booth was selling educational text books, revision books, exam guides etc in all subjects.  The Kokatans are obviously keen on getting a good education with good exam results.  Even the shopkeepers look serious and well educated, don't you think?

Returned to our lodgings thoroughly exhausted and I slept for a couple of hours before dinner.
