The Village Fair

In a complete contrast to last night's Victorian Fair in Warwick, tonight was the Kineton Village Christmas Fair.  Much much smaller, but perhaps all the better for that.  Gill won several raffle/tombola prizes and many local charities benefited from their stalls.   There were also a few local craft makers (main blip) and the flower shop had organised a Christmas Tree trail where local businesses and residents have bought a Christmas tree to decorate, and we all get to vote for our favourite.  Along the road from our house, a family has set up a remembering tree (extra) where anyone can leave a message for someone not able to be with them this Christmas.  We left a card for our mothers as this will be the first Christmas for us without either of them.  A really fine idea, and the other tress around the village were looking really good.
There are 114 trees all told,  not bad for a village of ~2,800 people.
