Night life

Hamish and I visited the nursing home this morning and then it was pack the car and head back down the M1 to Sydney.  I was meeting up with friends for dinner in Barangaroo.  We went to Beas.  Crikey it was trendy but a bit underwhelming for $160 a head.  Still it was lovely meeting up with my friends.  We went for a wander into Darling Harbour proper just in time for the 9 pm fireworks.  Apparently they are doing fireworks every night until Christmas.  It was full of good humoured people out enjoying themselves and while there were a lot of people it didn't have the frenzy and crowds of vivid.  We got the ferry in and out and it was lovely to be out on the harbour on a warm Summer's night.    I could get used to this....
