Inverkeithing to South Queensferry

We're now into December (just!), and for the 2nd Saturday of this month, we're planning a walk which starts in Fife, and progresses South back into Edinburgh  - all taking place on Saturday 8th December ...

... it's a relatively short walk starting from Inverkeithing (in Fife), back over the Forth Road Bridge to South Queensferry, with a potential lunch at the Hawes Inn, all before catching a train back to Edinburgh from Dalmeny Station!

- we'll start the walk from Inverkeithing Rail Station at 10am!
- there's a 9.36am train departure from Waverley, which subsequently departs from Haymarket at 9.43am ...
... and thereafter arrives at Inverkeithing for 9.58am

- there is a decent walk from Inverkeithing to North Queensferry, then over the Forth Road Bridge to South Queensferry ---
--- i.e. https://travelwithintent.com/2017/07/17/inverkeithing-to-north-queensferry/
- most of it is on the Fife Coastal Path --- http://www.fifecoastalpath.co.uk/

- from Inverkeithing, it's less than 5-miles back, and should take around 3-hours
- we plan to stop briefly at the North Queensferry Harbour Light Tower:

- and we should then get to the Hawes Inn, for 1.30pm ---

- we can have a leisurely meal/drink etc.; and whenever we've finished - there would be no rush whatsoever! - there's just a short 0.5mile walk up the hill to Dalmeny Station; and lots of train options back to Haymarket/Waverley in Edinburgh.
