The Other Place

Instead of Pret we decided to go to Susie's for a spot of lunch today.  Susie's is based in The Other Place, the RSC's third theatre in Stratford, though not used so much now as a playhouse, more a costume storage and rehearsal rooms, though there is a studio theatre where they sometimes have talks.  Originally The Other Place was a theatre, Emma has the claim to fame of performing at each of the three theatres, though in this case it was as a voice off. The large 'rusty metal box' by the side was built when the main Royal Shakespeare Theatre was being completely refurbished and used as the Courtyard Theatre.  Although looking a bit intimidating from the outside, the inside was surprisingly comfortable and we saw a few performances there. On reopening of the main theatre the Courtyard was closed.

Susie's is on the ground floor with a further balcony floor.  Quirky in places, see previous blips, it serves drinks, sandwiches and light lunches. We had a wrap and a crayfish baguette.
