Knock on wood

We often see woodpeckers in the garden. This one was sitting in the silver birch tree, pecking away at the bark. It flew away as I was getting my camera but came back again luckily. Lucie enjoyed seeing it.

Our son was In Keswick this weekend and got a lovely photo of Santa at Derwentwater.
