Pale purple fungus

Some spectacular fungi have grown in the new flowerbeds surrounding the refurbished memorial garden at our Memorial Hall. 
Russula Atropurpurea??
They start off flat then curl up in to these gnarly old specimens.
Couldn't really find anything exactly the same on Googlewotsit.
Lovely day of sunshine and downpours. I spent it restoring order out of chaos now that Lucie and co have returned home.
