Bokeh

Tonight at camera club Tony told us about the how bokeh (blurry background) can help emphasise the subject and we had a go at creating some highlighted shapes using a cut out stencil and fairy lights.

Turns out I brought the wrong lens with me - I had to borrow one - and this is what my Christmas tree shape looked like with Steven holding the fairy lights up.  (Not much like a Christmas tree more like Peppa Pig).

Ah well I had the first mulled wine and mince pies of the season so it didn't matter.
