Life through the lens...

The Yorkshire Soap Co.

What a delightful morning we have spent in Halifax.
The weather, although cold was sunny. Just the sort of winter’s day I enjoy.
We needed to go to Sainsbury’s, and also Lloyds Bank.
The bank building is stunning. A beautiful ceiling. ( see extra) I just hope this branch doesn’t close.

We had a look round the market, and then had coffee in the Piece Hall.
A lovely new coffee shop, bakery, and restaurant called Trading Rooms.
It was nice to see it busy. We will be back to have lunch there next year.
Afterwards a look round the little shops.
There seemed to be a few more opened up since last year.
My favourite was the handmade soap shop.
Yorkshire Soap company.
A fabulous display. ( see extras)
Couldn’t resist this tiny snowman soap, which is now on display in the downstairs toilet.
It has a delicate smell of sweet candy and cherry
Also thought it suitable for a Tiny Tuesday blip!

We had a very enjoyable evening yesterday, although the food at Weetwood Hall was a bit mediocre.
The raffle raised £230 for the Candlelighters Charity, which has helped children with cancer since 1976.
Oh and we one a bottle of wine too!

Almost forgot Cracker Joke no. 4

I’ve just had an operation on my funny bone.
The doctor says I’ll be in stitches for weeks.
