Insect fast food on a wintery day

I'm always amazed when the Fatsia japonica in my garden suddenly blossoms during the run-up to Christmas, with no apparent concern about the frosty mornings. Over the last couple of days it has had plenty of visits from a queen Buff-tailed Bumblebee, which has mostly evaded my camera, but there is a very poor shot, snatched from quite a distance, as an extra here (juust to prove it).
