Christmas poinsettia.

Along with the usual weekly shopping today, we bought our Christmas poinsettia.
Looks very good quality, so hope it lasts as long as usual.
In the centre of the photo you can see ( in bud stage) the tiny green flowers.
The red “petals” are not flowers at all, but instead bracts. - modified leaves.
We always put the plant on the windowsill above a radiator, but it has to be moved to a side table when we draw the curtains.
A bit of a faff moving it everyday, but it does seem to work.
Also remember not to over water it.
