Mostly Six Five Oh

By nhc

The alarm started sounding at around 12:30 a.m., hubby and I got hold of Naboo and stuffed him in his carrier, I grabbed a sweater and got some shoes on my feet and we headed to the fire exit.  Took this at around 12:50 a.m., more fire trucks arriving.  Some people had managed to put coats and proper clothes on, or perhaps they'd not yet turned in, but I was not alone shivering in my PJs on the sidewalk.  Pets in carriers, on leashes, or tucked into people's clothing, confused babies and small children in blankets.

Around 2:15 a.m. the fire department declared it was safe to re-enter the building.  Apparently the fire occurred in one of the inverter rooms of the building but was quickly dealt with by the fire department.

Relieved to get back inside but it took a long time to get warm and relax enough to get any sleep.
