From the Air

Decided to take potluck on seats; I got a very chatty woman; Mike got a window seat and took this phone photo of Mourão as we flew over it. I've made it as good as I can. So... if you can see the star shaped castle on this side of the town, our Land is between it and the road to the left that ends in the Lake.

As for the reunion with the grandkids at Birmingham airport, see here. Very touched that Deb and Paul had taken two trains to surprise us there, and then our s-i-l had made us a superb dinner, including tandoori chicken, not something you get in the Alentejo.

Today's Advent reading was from Isaiah 35:

Energize the limp hands,
    strengthen the rubbery knees.
Tell fearful souls,
    “Courage! Take heart!
God is here, right here,
on his way to put things right
And redress all wrongs.
He’s on his way! He’ll save you!"

We don't know when or how, but one day the world will be put right, and that hope gives us courage to change things now.

And now for a bath...bliss!
