Gary Calton, photographer

I enjoyed a fine day out today, going to see photojournalist Gary Calton's photo exhibition in Helmsley, North Yorkshire.
Gary is known as one of the top portrait photographers in the UK, working for the Guardian and Observer, and Time magazine, among many. But his photography covers reportage and landscape, all in the show, which is really excellent and well worth a visit if you can get over to the lovely small town on the edge of the moors.
Intending just to see the photos, it was a bonus that Gary was there himself, so I had a good old chat with him too. And then asked if I could try a portrait of the portraitist... Hope it passes muster Gary?!
