Rudolph disgraces himself

At first I thought that the yellow sign spoilt the photo, distracting from the Christmassy scene. The bright lights also washed out part of the sign.

Then I realised that Rudolph had an innocent “who me?” expression on his face.

One of the best journeys up to the Lakes for a while, remarkably little traffic. Called in at Mainsgill for lunch, arriving at the Inn on the Lake around 3.45 to find that we’d been upgraded to one of their Lake View Superior Rooms, in fact the same one we had last year.

A relaxing drink and pleasant dinner helped ease away the challenges of yesterday.
