Northern Pintail Duck

Wendy and I went to Huntley Meadows this morning. It was very cold, but sunny and we arrived early enough to get some really beautiful morning light on the abundance of ducks and geese.  We also saw Kingfishers from afar, Northern Shovelers, an immature redheaded woodpecker which was also too far away to get a decent shot.

I found that my photography gloves were not enough to keep me warm so I am in the market for another pair.  I am open to suggestions, if you know of gloves that free up the index and thumb but are very warm.
