Goblet

A trip south with M; we stopped overnight at a Travelodge last night, then on this morning to see her cousin.
He has inherited their Great-grandma's christening goblet. I've seen photos of it before, but didn't realise the real size. It must hold about a pint!
The inscription reads: B.B. May 5th 1844. It was probably given to great grandma Bridget in County Carlow in Ireland, whence she emigrated to England in the potato famine. Maybe we'll go across and see if there are any more records of her extant, one day.
