No flower Friday

It'll be a while before I'll see any flowers blooming on this mountain but this wee dried stalk still bravely poked up above the snow.  Won't be long now until it too will be buried.  

An overcast day today with a winter storm due to arrive this evening.  Wind gusts to 90km/h and more snow.  Generator at the ready in the event of a power outage. ;)

The extras are taken at my neighbours property.  They're away at the moment and I've been checking on their cute little cabin making sure all's well for their return.
