Charles de Gaulle

The airport ... not the soldier statesman.  I don't know about that last one, but the first one was horrifically chaotic.  Must remind myself (won't be difficult, trust me) to specify to any tour organizer next time that this is one airport we'd definitely not prefer.

04.00 -- Got out of bed in our budget hotel
04.30 -- Breakfast
04.55 -- Hopped on shuttle bus
05.10 -- Arrived at airport
06.00 -- Finished check-in / settled down at designated gate
07.40 -- Boarded but KLM wasn't ready (too much ice on wings)
08.15 -- Finally, KLM ready; Charles de Gaulle in Paris warned of late arrival, but they said no problem, all our connections would wait
09.10 -- Arrival at Charles de Gaulle ... you'd think all we had to do was run, but no ... we had to fall in line for passport checks afterwards, then chaos at whatever gate EVERYBODY had to go to, then about 45 minutes waiting in the bus near the airplane, then another half hour waiting inside the Air France plane, so way past the 10.20 take-off
12.20 -- Take off (which we all changed to eff off)
02.00 -- Arrival in INDIA -- Bangalore Airport
02.20 -- Visa verification
03.10 -- Arrival at our boutique hotel ... India is 4.5 hours ahead
03.20 -- Dropped into bed like stones
