To Tallinn

Well there weren’t going to be any daytime shots as we only arrived after 8pm. Though I did take some shots of the twinkly Christmas trees lining the touristy streets of the old town. The first excitement though was seeing the snow lying as the plane skimmed in to land.
So to Pegasus, where I’d booked a table - really excellent Scandi food with rye ale. And as luck would have it, the place was right opposite the Golden Lion where Arthur Ransome stayed when he married Trotsky’s secretary. Before they went sailing about a bit in the Racundra. Indeed.
Though sadly the Golden Lion is no more - it was bombed flat by the Soviets in 1944. I think they still lurk nearby.
