Sgwarnog: In the Field

Four

There are now real signs of a resurgence at City although they are still firmly ensconed in the bottom four.

Walsall were today's visitors, fresh from knocking Sunderland out of the Cup. Conditions were atrocious, with the forecast freezing rain arriving on cue and driving down throughout.

City took an early lead but the first half was very even, and the Saddlers could easily have had two or three themselves. In the second half something clicked for the Bantams though and Walsall scarcely got out of their own half. Further goals arrived on 45, 63 and 81 minutes and there could have been more. 4-0 it finished, as the scoreboard shows, and City have edged a couple of places up the table. They have a lot of ground to catch up to avoid the drop but have half a season to do it.
