Bark

In eight years of blipping I think this is my first Blue Tit picture, unless you count this one.

I'd been lured out on a campus patrol by a bit of sunshine at lunchtime. After watching a Magpie chase a Mistle Thrush, first a Robin and then this Blue Tit appeared in the vacated tree overhead.  Clearly the bark, or possibly what lies beneath the bark, has some appeal.

Later, I met up with some colleagues for coffee to mark my impending departure. They were generous with their words and their leaving gifts. I'll save my own words for Friday, which is my last day.
