Brown Shield Bug

This bug is not well camouflaged on green leaves.

Yesterday was so cold I had to put an electric heater on. This morning I was surprised to see thin sunshine, the first sunshine since Sunday. It was so hot I peeled off my down jacket, my fleece jacket, and finally, my alpaca cardigan. Can’t believe I was wearing so many winter layers in summer.

The warm, dry weather lasted until early afternoon when the rain resumed.
