The Aftermath

Turns out last night's storm was worse than I realised. There were massive hailstones all over Sydney.

The lady in the butcher's told me that there was no power in the Megalong Valley. I expected it would be back by the time we went down this afternoon to take a lot of the Christmas food, but decided to leave the refridgerated stuff up top. It was just as well as the power won't be back on until at least tomorrow.

I feel for those who live full time down there. Unless they have generators there will be some turkeys and hams in big trouble. I don't want to think about anyone who has bought seafood.

This tree is at our neighbour's. It has made a mess of the fence but seems to have missed the shed. The poor guy has just started a course of chemotherapy this week so this is not going to help his mood. (No doubt he will be out chainsawing tomorrow.)

Fortunately we didn't find any damage at our place, expect the fridge was off and some contents will need to be discarded. Nothing much though.
