Pictorial blethers

A gleam before sunset

It's so hard to get out in time to see any sun - assuming said sun isn't lurking behind masses of cloud - but today we made a huge effort to ignore tasks connected with tomorrow's music-making - or the next day's - or holiday travel, or the required sobriety for driving ...no:  we actually discussed that last one as we walked.

Be that as it may, this is Loch Striven this afternoon. The golden gap in the cloud is over the island of Bute, behind which the sun will soon set. There is a rain storm advancing down the hills on the far side of the loch, heading in our direction. Actually it will stay on the far side of the water, bar a few drops. We didn't get wet.

I can't say how much better I feel after a decent walk. Yesterday had the music; today had the light. Tomorrow should have just about everything bar Christmas itself ...
