Life through the lens...

Deck the Hall.

Such a dreary wet weather day.
Last bits and pieces from the farm shop.
Very busy, but they were coping well. All cheerful and in the Christmas spirit.
BIL called and we exchanged presents, and had a catchup.

Took our youngest son his traditional chocolate fudge cake for his birthday.
It doesn’t seem 46 years since he was born!
Happy Birthday J.

Then went to see the Christmas Decorations at Oakwell Hall.
We are so lucky to have this beautiful 16th century house on our doorstep.
Today the Hall is presented as the Batt family home of the 1690s and reveals a unique insight into their lives as members of the Yorkshire gentry.
It was decorated accordingly, with greenery from the hedgerows.
The photo shows the lovely candelabra in the Great Hall.
I have also put another couple of photos on as extras.
It is a fabulous building at any time of year, but always extra special at Christmas.

Christmas Cracker Advent Joke No. 23.

What do you do when you see a Spaceman?

Park in it.

( Now scraping the bottom of the barrel ! )
