Night Scaffolding NYC

We were returning from dinner nearby with our friend Donna. She's a former colleague of Marylee at Cornell, whom we introduced to birding, becoming the most fanatic convert we could have imagined :) The day's main event was a visit to the Neue Galerie (near the Met), for a superb exhibition on the German artists August Macke and Franz Marc, who both died as soldiers in WW I (in 1914 and 1916). Macke especially has been a favorite of mine since the 1960's.  It was a great treat to see the show.

Posted next morning--the internet connection in our apartment is dicey at best--not available last night, and difficult now to find links :(
