Pigeons' Home

I took MrQ for a ride today as it is his birthday. We went to Mill Beach first as he went there in 1939. Needless to say things have changed. He remembers a green field on the bank of the River Blackwater. Today it is a huge caravan park.

From there to Heybridge Basin, shame The Lock Tiptree Tearoom wasn't open. We had a cup of tea in a pub and MrQ waited while I took Ollie dog for a quick walk along the sea wall. The moored vessel near the starboard buoy has seen better days and is home to a flock of pigeons. The birds in my extra are sleeping it off. :)

Luckily I'd brought a picnic and we had that in the Daisy Meadows carpark.
