But, then again . . . . .

Mbra Castle.

Back at the beginning of the month (it is now Boxing Day) a group of us met up to try some night photography at the Christmas market; but it proved to be so crowded that we didn’t bother and spent a while playing with long exposure shots of the illuminated whirly things from the safety of Market Street. One of our number was interested in some pictures from the central reservation of Princes Street, but declined the opportunity when she saw how many policemen were gathered in the area. Instead, we went up Calton Hill; I had been warned that it wasn’t wise to venture there alone but the place was deserted apart from a few photographers. It seems that all of the potential muggers were busy picking pockets in the market place. Anyway, Angie would have scared the heebie-jeebies out of any potential mugger.

The evening ended with a very sociable meal in an Italian restaurant over-run with sightseers, but it was warm in there.
