Welcome to St Teresa's Primary...

Pupils from P6 and P7, St Teresa's PS, Glasgow came to visit the exhibition today. They each brought a paper boat with them and were ready to set off on a voyage of discovery about George Wyllie, art, Glasgow and the Clyde, poetry...

When he pupils arrived, they were keen to tell us what they already knew, and were very interested in the boats other schools have placed in the Boat Shed. For St Teresa's this is the start of the journey and the pupils have lots of ideas about how their boat will look.

They also had lots of ideas - and questions - about the Berlin Wall. For the girls, the Berlin Burd and the idea that a wall once divided the city was a source of fascination, and they're off to write some suggestions about what you could do if a wall suddenly stopped you going across the city.

The boys were fascinated by the golden football boats which George Wyllie made, and one of them told us that they were his favourite because one day he would have golden football boots!

Building paper boats in the Learning Zone, we discovered that today's master boat-builder was Jack. He was great at helping everyone to make their boat.

St Teresa's pupils have lots of ideas about work they could do, and they're going to make more boats to be launched at Hogmanay.

They might even come back.
