Last shift

An earlier start than yesterday and up before 9 to get the 'energy booster'.  Waiting for the bus the sun was rising over St Katharine's Park.

My last shift at C@C was marred by a contretemps which shouldn't have happened but things did improve and it was a calm and enjoyable day, sustained by 2 slices chocolate Swiss roll. The structures that J our tech skills coordinator had created looked as good in real life as they did in the picture.  It was also great to catch up with some of our long serving volunteers, including S who has done 6 consecutive years now, every year since we started.  The weather was also good, no rain and about 9 degrees, big difference from last year's ice and snow.

We wrapped up by 7.45 and my luck continued when a #47 arrived as I got to the stop so home just after 8 for much food, the rest of the fizz and an episode of the French cop drama. I now understand my confusion was caused by the producers having changed the actor playing the female lead.
