Welcome

Today with it being like a Spring Day at a balmy 13 C, we took a run in the car to Comrie, a walk up a small hill where we sat on a log under an old oak tree in the sunshine looking over the hills thinking how beautiful the countryside looked. As I glanced behind us and Breagha was doing that spaniel thing where they find something interesting, four legs firmly planted tail straight out and Looking down then looking at us and it was a sleeping hedgehog, lying full out not in a ball. I can only think the warmth confused it from it’s hibernation and hopefully it woke and then wandered back into its cosy spot.

Stopped off at Comrie Croft and bought a couple of almond croissants from the Wild Hearth Bakery, best bakery in the area that is lucky to have a good few.

Decided as Crieff is billing itself as a dog friendly establishment town to have a coffee in the Red Squirrel Cafe. We wandered in and immediately this lady in a group of four stood up and declared she couldn’t stay in here - cancel the order - looked accusingly down to wee innocent Breagha and ran out the door. We were the told by the waitress that it’s only dog friendly in the outdoor section (not dog friendly then)! We left and the lady that panicked at the sight of BreaGha was heard saying to her family ‘oh we could have stayed’.

Anyway, just down the High Street was Cafe Rhubarb where Breagha was welcomed with a biscuit and the owner had to take her photo for the wall to put alongside many other doggy visitors. Home baking for us and a nice window seat watching the coming and goings of the busy street. Very friendly owners of the Cafe.

Home via Tullibardine Chapel for a look where we met a couple of American tourists and their kilted driver got his bagpipes out for a blaw! Cool !
