Blue dingy

2.9C and mostly bright blue clear sky. A few very light snow flurries.

Gloves, fleece beanie, and layers on for my walk with Maeve the Deerhound today. Cold and a bit of breeze so layers and an outer windproof 'skin' in order. Maeve is happy enough in the cold unless she gets wet. We went round our usual walk. The ground was frozen hard in the field. There were some frozen areas on the sand on the beach too. Same at the Fishermen's huts with a few snow flakes lying on the frozen turf.

As Maeve and I left the area where the huts are to walk along the front of the cottages at Westhaven we met the people from the end cottage coming out of their door. They were heading in the same direction we were so we walked together and caught up with what we had all been doing since we last saw them. Most pleasant. Maeve bounced around. Happy to see her friends.

Later it is supposed to get very cold. Local weather station estimates -5C for here !
