New Year (Day 1336)

After a remarkably good curry in town last night, my beautiful wife and I brought in the New Year with Mum and Dad at home.
It was a relatively quiet affair, but an enjoyable one, and the first time in many many years that I have brought the New Year in sober.
This morning's woofer wander was a cold one and it was a relief to get back to the car and out of the wind.
Later HV and I headed for Stromness with the dogs for a walk along the shore in the bitterly cold wind. Sunbeams danced across the Hoy hills and I took a few snaps.
HV had to zoom off to an overnight shift at work, so I spent the rest of the afternoon stripping more paint. I have made reasonable progress and the end of the stripping is in sight at last.
